Erpenbach Statement on Governor’s Call of Special Session for State Budget
“Governor Doyle should be praised for his leadership in calling a special session to resolve the state budget. I have no doubt the Senate will take action for budget resolution and I am sincerely hopeful that the Assembly will follow suit. There are times when the challenges in the Legislature need the strong support of the Governor; this is one of them. The Governor is wise to step up to the plate and deserves recognition for the call. Our schools are waiting, our local governments are waiting, our constituents are waiting, and the time is now.”
