Kreitlow Named to Commerce, Utilities and Rail Committee
Chippewa Falls Senator will fill seat vacated by Senator Breske’s resignation
(MADISON) Senator Pat Kreitlow, (D-Chippewa Falls) has been named to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Utilities and Rail. Kreitlow will be filling the seat vacated by Senator Roger Breske’s resignation to become Railroad Commissioner.
“Controlling energy costs for Wisconsin families and increasing our energy independence are both priorities for me, as is strengthening our transportation infrastructure,” said Kreitlow. “Serving on this committee will give me an opportunity to play a larger role in how Wisconsin addresses these issues.”
Senator Kreitlow also serves on the Senate Committee on Education, the Joint Committee for Review of Administration Rules, the Senate Committee on Economic Development, the Senate Committee on Ethics Reform and Government Operations, the Senate Committee on Public Health and Privacy, and the Senate Committee on Tax Fairness. He also serves as chair of the Senate Committee on Campaign Finance Reform and Rural Issues, as well as the co-chair of the Joint Committee on Information Policy and Technology.
“Overall, I have been very pleased with the wide range of topics that my committee appointments have allowed me to work on,” added Kreitlow. “This new appointment gives me one of the broadest ranges of committee assignments in the Senate, something that gives my constituents a chance to be closely involved in most of the major issues facing the legislature.”
