Welcome to my website! I represent Wisconsin’s 23rd Senate District, which is made up all of Chippewa county, and parts of Clark, Eau Claire, Dunn, Marathon and Wood counties.

Department of Health Services Introduces New Health Care Facility Website and Toll-Free Hotline
(Madison) The Department of Health Services has launched a new toll-free hotline and website to make it easier to report and obtain information on Wisconsin health care facilities. The hotline provides information on nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other health or hospice agencies. Individuals can report complaints or concerns by phone or on the website homepage.

Clark County Schools Receive Over $200,000 in Sparsity Aid From State
(MADISON) Several area schools are receiving some much needed additional state aid this week as the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction releases over $200,000 to Clark County schools as part of the new Sparsity Aid Program. The program, which was included in the 2008-2009 budget with the support of Senator Pat Kreitlow (D-Chippewa), increased funding for rural, sparsely populated school districts in Wisconsin.

Joint Legislative Council Announces Membership of Domestic Biofuels Study
(MADISON) A mixture of legislators, industry experts, scientists and environmental leaders will make up the membership of the Domestic Biofuels Study Committee, which will examine what role biofuels should play in Wisconsin’s energy policy. The appointments, which were voted on by members of the Joint Legislative Council, include six legislators and 13 private citizens. These members were chosen from a list of over 40 people that applied for membership. The committee will be led by Senator Pat Kreitlow (D-Chippewa Falls) and Representative Scott Suder (R-Abbotsford).

Kreitlow Named to Commerce, Utilities and Rail Committee
(MADISON) Senator Pat Kreitlow, (D-Chippewa Falls) has been named to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Utilities and Rail. Kreitlow will be filling the seat vacated by Senator Roger Breske’s resignation to become Railroad Commissioner.
